UEN eMedia - Exploring the Math Hub

Daily Resource / December 16th, 2022

Open Educational Resources, or OER, is an underutilized part of education. I know many educators who head first to Teachers Pay Teachers rather than spending time looking for something in OER. However, OER yields much higher quality, aligned resources often provided by other educators out of their willingness to share what they have done in their classroom. You don’t have to look farther than my colleague Katie Blunt’s work with eMedia, Utah OER repository. The video for today is one of many that she has created and shared to explore her Hubs project. These hubs are designed and built by experts in the field from Utah’s State Board of Education and provide high quality resources to educators who need them. I have built my own hub on eMedia for my work with Google and the process has helped me become more proficient on Google products, but it has also provided educators with hundreds of free resources, collected and colated to their needs. And most importantly, all for free.

If you are in Utah, you can use eMedia with your UEN login, but if you are out of state, you can still see the great work that Katie is doing with eMedia by going to eMedia.uen.org.
