Utah Rural Schools Association Conference Presentations 2022

A few weeks back, as part of my job at UEN, I was lucky enough to be a part of the Utah Rural Schools Association Conference. This conference pulls in over 500 educators from the rural areas of Utah. This year I presented, along with my great colleague at GEGUtah Kelli Cannon, eight sessions on Google across the three days of the conference. These sessions included a few on creativity, a design sprint, sessions on Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, a Google Certified Educator L1/L2 Bootcamp, and a session from our state’s Google Trainers. . You can find all the resources for these sessions at this link.

However, the best part of the conference was being able to connect with some of my favorite Utah educators from the State Board of Education and UEN. Running into people I don’t normally see/interact with and being able to share what is happening and how we are engaging with the world of education was such an important part of my day. Along with that, finally meeting teachers who have been in my UEN courses and putting a person with the little square camera picture was amazing. I met teachers from all over the state: from small schools in the West Desert to medium-sized districts in central Utah. It was all a great experience that I am excited to repeat next summer.
