UEN Homeroom: Utah’s First Lady Abby Cox

Add Daily Resource / Date here

Earlier this month Dani and I were lucky enough to sit down with Utah’s First Lady Abby Cox and her Deputy Director of First Lady Initiatives Sarah Allred about the Show Up for Teachers Conference. If you are a Utah educator and you did not attend the summer conference, make sure to look for announcements for next Summer’s conference. As you will hear in the podcast, the goal of Show Up for Teachers was to help them feel pampered. From point one entering the conference, I felt it. There was just a buzz at the event surrounding celebrating educators, making them feel like their work is valuable, and, most importantly, helping them to see themselves and their own work as valuable. Show Up for Teachers has a few events throughout the year, both in-person and virtual, so make sure to check out their website for more information. Listen to the podcast in the picture to the right or at the link below:

A big thanks to the First Lady’s team for recording this episode, but also supporting Utah educators.
